Loghaven Artist Residency is funded by the Aslan Foundation, a Knoxville-based family foundation established in 1994 by city native Lindsay Young. The Aslan Foundation preserves beauty, advances livability, and supports cultural assets in the Knoxville area through grantmaking, public-private partnerships, and its projects, which include Loghaven. The Foundation has long focused its giving on arts and culture, historic and environmental preservation, and animal welfare. The Aslan Foundation’s past grantees include the Big Ears Festival, Knoxville Museum of Art, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park Trails Forever Program, to name a few.
